James B. Sowell

Jim has been working in the design field professionally since 2014 after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture and Design degree from UMass Amherst, and participating in a design/build program at Yestermorrow in Vermont. 

He has experience working on projects ranging from: light commercial, restaurant and café space, community focused projects, residential, and multi-family housing.  His design work focuses on a shared design process believing that teamwork leads to the best solution for a client.  Jim has a passion for high performance details and making each project as sustainable as possible through material selection and design. 

In his free time, you can find him working at his wood shop where he explores form, function, and materiality building furniture and other small projects.
